Together We Make Purple.jpg

There is a diary we try to hide in our desk drawers or under our pillows. Mine is open and written by my hands in charcoal and paint. I use my work to represent my thoughts and my emotions, whether they be eerie and unsettling or lighthearted and intimate. I give a voice to my interpersonal experiences. The naturalistic figures I create are an extension of myself and the people in my life. My simplified compositions paired with bold contrasts allow me to focus on the inner and outer workings of our minds and bodies. I build human connections and foster a relationship of empathy with the viewer. The tone of my work evolves as I do. It captures the movements and ideas that circle throughout the unpredictable nature that is life. And as everything continually shifts, I look back and reminisce.
